About This Workshop

This REHS facilitated workshop consists of 3 hours of face to face content and covers focussed clinical assessment suitable for remote mine site clinics. It is aimed at building confidence for patient care and assessment.

This is a Level 2 – 3 workshop and is suitable for Certificate IV in Health Care Emergency Service Officers, Paramedics & Nurses or Registered Aphra Practitioners in a clinical setting.

  • Eyes & acuity

  • Abdominal examination

  • Urinalysis

  • Common clinic presentations

  • Chest examination

  • Ears

  • Dental

  • Musculoskeletal

Suitable for

Certificate IV in Health Care to Registered practitioners with recent experience in a clinical setting

Pre-requisites

Recent employment / exposure within a clinical environment

Inclusions

  • 4 hours face to face facilitated instruction clinical trainer

  • Practical scenarios

  • Small group teaching (Max 6)

  • Per person enrolment fee is applicable, available on request

Assessment

Successful completion of practical component to verify competence

Certificate & Reporting

Participants will be issued a Statement of Attendance upon the successful completion of this workshop

CPD

Successful completion of this workshop entitles participants to:

  • Level 2 – 4 CPD points
  • Level 3 – 4 CPD points
