About This Workshop

This REHS facilitated workshop consists of 3 hours of facilitated training and instruction to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to apply and operate the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and undertake Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in an emergency.

This is a Level 1 workshop and is suitable for Personnel interested in gaining practical knowledge of AED and CPR for workplace application.

Workshop Content

Compliance with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines:

  • Overview of ARC

  • Legal obligations

  • Understanding CPR

  • Principles of First Aid

  • Following DRSABCD

  • Use of an AED

Suitable for

Personnel interested in gaining practical knowledge of AED and CPR for workplace application

Pre-requisites

There are no pre-requisites

Inclusions

  • 3 hours face to face facilitated instruction clinical trainer

  • Practical scenarios

  • Small group teaching (Max 12)

  • Per person enrolment fee is applicable, available on request

Assessment

Successful completion of practical component to verify competence

Certificate & Reporting

Participants will be issued a Statement of Attendance upon the successful completion of this workshop
